The fair went amazingly well this weekend, and I had a great time. We (and I say “we” because Bill was an incredible help this weekend ringing up sales and doing anything else that needed doing) sold almost all of the 19 felts. I sat in front of the booth a good chunk of the time and stitched, which ended up being one of my favorite parts of the fair. Felting is a rather abstract concept until you see someone do it live, and people were as fascinated by the art as I am. As a result, we hit nearly 90 registrants for the felt class I’m teaching mid-summer at the church. Looks like it’s going to be felt classES, and that’s fine by me. It will be good to be teaching again after such a long sabbatical (from ESL teaching last time).
Here’s some shots from our booth this weekend. Anything felted is ours, the painted dolls are by Goosegrease, and the prints are by LiveFromBrooklyn.

Comment by timf June 11, 2009 @ 4:05 pmHi there. I can’t believe I found you. It wasn’t easy. I signed up to take your class when I was at Renegade, and I haven’t heard anything. I haven’t stopped thinking about your work since I saw it, and I really want to learn. Please email me. Thanks so much.
Comment by Eileen Tepper June 17, 2009 @ 1:52 amYup, Tim, it was the first to go. One of my favorites! I’m planning to make more and post them on etsy. I’ll be uploading a few this weekend I hope, but no matchstick trees yet!
